SmartEdge ("we," "us," or "our") operates the AC Service Report mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the App.
Summary
AC Service Report is designed to work fully offline. Your business data — customers, AC units, service reports, photos, and signatures — is stored locally on your device and is not uploaded to any server we operate. We do not require you to create an account, and we do not collect or sell your personal data.
Information We Do Not Collect
We do not operate any backend server for this App. We do not collect, transmit, or store your customer data, reports, photos, or signatures on our own servers. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers within the App.
Information Stored On Your Device
To provide the App's features, the following information is stored locally in the App's private storage on your device:
- Customer names, phone numbers, and addresses that you enter
- AC unit details (type, brand, capacity, location)
- Service report details (readings, checklists, work performed, parts, pricing, payment status)
- Photos and customer signatures you capture within the App
- Your company profile (business name, phone, email, address, logo)
- App settings (currency, language, payment methods, report numbering)
This data remains on your device unless you choose to export it (see below) or the App is uninstalled, in which case it is deleted along with the App.
Backup and Export
The App includes an optional "Backup & Export" feature that lets you export your data to a JSON file using your device's standard share function (for example, to save it to Google Drive or send it to yourself). This export is initiated entirely by you; we do not have access to these files.
Sharing via WhatsApp and Other Apps
The App allows you to share generated PDF reports via WhatsApp or your device's standard share sheet. When you use this feature, the PDF is handed to the app you select (e.g., WhatsApp); we do not intercept, store, or have access to this content ourselves.
Camera and Photo Access
The App requests camera and photo library access solely to let you attach job photos and customer signatures to service reports. These images are stored locally on your device as described above.
Subscriptions and Payments
The App offers an optional Pro subscription, processed entirely through Google Play Billing. We do not receive or store your payment card details; this information is handled by Google in accordance with Google Play's privacy policies. We only receive confirmation of your subscription status from Google Play to unlock Pro features.
Data Deletion
You can permanently delete all data stored by the App at any time via More → Delete all data within the App itself. This immediately and irreversibly erases all customers, reports, photos, signatures, and settings stored on your device.
Children's Privacy
This App is intended for business use by AC service technicians and companies. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted at this same URL with an updated "Last updated" date.
